78/365 "Date with Angels"


Today I had the opportunity to a very special picture for my project 365. I got a picture of one of my favorite artists, one of the best songwriters in the world. But what makes it special is that it is an engagement photo by Silvio supporting the cause for this concert. It is the only concert this year Silvio, as I have understood (apart from the popular concerts in Cuba) and made as a contribution to the Foundation "Nest of Angels", created for children with cerebral palsy. Silvio previously and had donated 1000 copies of his concert in Santo Domingo in 2007 for the foundation.

The concert was excellent, sound impeccable, the Cibao great arena was packed and nobody wanted to stand up from his seat to anything, not missing any of the interpretations of Silvio.

Two significant moments were:

- When meeting with angels added the verse (which tells me Dr. José Miguel Pantoja, silviófilo like me, this verse is of authorship of José Antonio Rodríguez):

"April
hope was born thirty-odd years of Trujillo
mouths opened
silent voices of Santo Domingo.
fell asleep in the mountains
an angel out of the flock.
They woke eyelashes to Caamaño
that closed. "

- When he explained about the concerts offered in neighborhoods Cuba people, and to refer to children said

"Education is the most important thing for children, so we agree with the 4%." Silvio

the trio was presented with Trovarroco (guitars), Niurka González (flute and clarinet) and Oliver Valdez (percussion). All excellent musicians with timely interventions. The master of ceremonies was Freddy Ginebra, great as always! The artist hosted by José Antonio Rodríguez and his performance was really good! Imagine, with so many good songs that have José Antonio ... simply excellent. In his own words ... all who might need the orchestra was supplied Carlos Luis, great Cuban singer and guitar virtuoso.
