If most thrillers tease some of this is a ball player who unscrambled the time. The disturbing elements are everywhere, not limited to the subject of the investigation and, contrary to what is usual, logic does not be very helpful to solve the riddles.

But none of this makes the detective novel. The resolution of the case is outside the tracks and the issues raised are mostly philosophical. By pursuing the truth that leads to the absurd and the more we walk further away we are from the goal. We face a complex reflection the falsity of appearances, the vulnerability of human beings, the deception that will undergo the senses and the failure of scientific procedures considered reliable. Therefore, the count of facts unrelated and absurd, a desperate search for the truth of these facts - and the absolute truth, by the way, the characters get suspicious of what they hear and see. The reason is not good either: if you approach too close you lose perspective and if you intend to cover a lot of details are scattering.

The outcome of the increasing power of machines with brain shows the author as the great cultivator of science fiction was. It is based on the ability of artificial brains to develop strategies in the context of an arms race between the two blocs. Suspects, investigators and victims side play interchangeable roles, everything is uncertain, impossible to interpret and as unreal as a dream.
