Why Do I Get Sores After Drinking Soda Pop

Installation Art "Evening" By Yamil Escaffi

I will not speak of an electrical installation or industrial. But an art installation, a structure derived from the sculpture, which occupies a space, the floor, ceiling or walls in a gallery, and even in open fields. If you want to make one, you can use what you like, wire, wax, wood, cans, buttons, even lights and sounds, give it any form whether by example of some animal, (figurative) or you can do something crazy with forms crazy and histrionic (abstract). An installation usually lasts only for exhibition is therefore unique and unrepeatable. Thus, in the CBA (Centro Boliviano Americano) Cochabamaba 19:00 hrs, 25 March and a little later Yamil Escaffi surprises us with his art installation "Evening." "I'm always late," jokes the young artist. Family, friends, general public artists attended, representing the culture sector CBA Vilma Tapia Poet, presented the work of the novice artist. We appreciate then, a tortugota, green shell, black head above the bust with four arms, no head. Two arms praying with a fish net fishing and the other two words, as "treasure", "days", and more. As a boat as it feeds to its sinking. This is a weaver Pushkana deity, "who prays for their vulnerability to that get away with it, "says Jamil. The materials in this book are diverse, from cardboard, textiles, plastic bottles etc. (A good way to recycle). In Pushkana networks not only eats fish, but substantive. Bonito. Yamil In this made me think that the Pushkana is the man who eats little fish than words. Substantive eat to give them a value, a sense, on the way to death or shipwreck, something we do not know. We all behave well and asked questions, then this installation is the culmination of a poem by the author. Master quoting Vilma Valcarcel, agrees that contemporary art does not tend to convey a message, but rather is subject to subjective interpretation of consciousness individual. The author read a poem, for his mood, tempo and intensity of voice, no doubt it is a work of art. The high imagination put into the facility, suggests that creativity exists then takes us out of the harsh daily reality of just being flesh and blood. We dream, is embodied in art, he lived with magic between us through this young artist. Thanks Yamil! This work will be on display throughout the month of April.

Martin Amis: The Book of Rachel

Original title: The Rachel Papers
Original language: English
Year: 1973
Rating: Okay

is not always a good idea to embark on the debut author a high quality that it has acquired over time. Although prejudice aside, the relationship between the early and mature work varies greatly from one another. Sometimes, a few, the author early in his career produced his great magnum opus, once said everything I wanted to say and books that happen that are just mere followers. The Rachel book is somewhere in between. We are indeed learning to a novel also recounts an episode youth initiation. But it would still be well written, well constructed, with believable characters and a coherent plot that keeps the interest until the end. It will not be the best of the author but is well above many geniuses who then are not so obvious.

is a story of love / heartbreak and an acceptable inquiry into various types of human relationships told with a steady, which implies a very clear vision of how the characters evolve avoiding irregularities and imbalances. No missing however, the dose of surprise essential to reading it enjoyable to the reader. However, in this case, it is easy to fall into the trap and confuse the author and protagonist, and although the inclusion of autobiographical elements is clear, Amis manages to build a compelling personality. Undisguised sympathy that inspires the main character, is able to show no mercy its dark spots, but are justified by the character in most of its pages are brought out strongly at the end.

Charles, the teenager who thinks she supposedly mundane back around the base of much sarcasm, sharp observations and enough intellectual effort, belongs to a literary type which was maintained for a long time, which continued in force by then but, for some time, eventually becoming history. In their eyes, we know a Rachel idealized, which does not know much and although she constantly thinks and writes to quench his obsession, it will take many pages until we know. Doubts about the identity of Rachel and the fate of the relationship between both maintain the intrigue and occupy much of the plot. The fact that she has a boyfriend and this is a mature and socially situated individual seems to put you at a distinct disadvantage, which can clearly perceive is that this is a relationship with an expiration date, if you start, to be the girl who terminated. When later gives a twist to the plot, our intuition fades. Meanwhile, other relationships - for couples, parent-child or sibling - they develop at their own pace with its ups and downs, its small disasters, awards and pantomimes.

expecting a final Amis more uncertain but not limited to first-cut at any point under the guise of open-ended, on the contrary, discovering the great conceit of Charles and fraud that support small and the true personality of your brother, and it really does close with ease and consistency. Also

Naughty Wedding Invitation Wording For Friends

85/365 "Between sky and the ground is something ..." 82/365

With love to my friends and Yamelis Caesar. I wish you eternal courtship and marriage happy and full of blessings. Philippe Halsman said that "because when you jump concentrates only on that and then the mask falls and personality emerges, and is actually a liberating process, a disconnect with everything, I have not seen anyone jumping in the air without a smile unless expressly sour some on purpose. I also like that they chose to fly holding hands ... that is what exists between the sky and the ground in this picture, love, marriage and complicity.

Jenn Diaz: Belfond

Original language: English
Year: 2011
Rating: is (very) good

"Belfond" is the name of a people, the great protagonist of this novel Jenn Diaz Catalan author, whose inhabitants live under the guardianship, and the yoke of a master-omnipotent and omnipresent, a love which is nothing but the true god of Belfond.

The novel is composed of twenty chapters, as fragments of a broken mirror, tell the individual stories of the inhabitants of Belfond at the same time creating a strong image and compact village life. The different characters are intertwined to a greater or lesser extent in the different stories, and end meet in the final chapter or story. In Belfond include everything from forbidden love or undeclared, small and ridiculous vengeance and terrible abuses to works of the most curious.

Jenn Diaz's style is quick, easy care and without falling into simplicity; vertebra throughout the novel despite the different points of view from which the story is told. Most notable, in my opinion, is the author's razor sharp intuition: it is impossible for the reader is not reflected on, and even identified with, many of the details that give life to the characters.

Still, it strikes me that while the novel starts with overwhelming force, it loses a bit of bellows as he goes. Maybe it's because the narrative structure-the sum of individual stories-may end up getting a bit repetitive.

Overall, as indicated in the assessment, the novel is very, very well. From this blog, I encourage you to keep track of this writer 22 years. Yes, I have kept an ace up its sleeve: it is very young and Belfond is his first novel. And that just means he still has many good stories to tell.

Little White Spots In Kitten's Feces

Cochabamba Bach Fest, week Francophone and more

If you're sad, or unsolvable problems, debts, work (my case), otherwise everything will go well and do not know to do with your life. If in case you live in Cochabamba Bolivia, as there are many cultural activities, almost all are free. They gave me a pamphlet, at the Alliance Francaise, which he called "the guide" did not go to all the activities of March alone to which I, by time, and so home. There is concentrated around a program. Then I started the II International Poetry Festival, the foundation Patiño Friday 18 March with Felipe Garcia of Colombia to read some poems, one is told through her mother, she big as a whale coming to port, just beautiful . Carmen Berenguer, Chilean poet also read her poems, she told how she elaborated hand paper publishing his first poems cardboard. Thing today is not common and that there are more possibilities I think, with all the waste material that could be recycled could make many books home. On Saturday 19 recital of Bach and his family was at the Alliance française, the harpsichord played by Elizabeth Schwimmer, tremendous, never thought the sound of a harpsichord, leaks, sonatas could be so deep spiritually and for a moment, close your eyes make you forget you exist. As also between work and play the interpreter told us a passage about the life of Bach and his family which is either a Bachmaniático like me.

Me I spent the week Francophone Valbert Christian Auditorium, Alliance Française conference Monday 21 Literature, Francophone Caribbean and Africa by Ligia Saniz (unfortunately did not attend the conference Deniz Fievez on Belgium). All created French literature outside France as a great contribution and survival of the language. Among many important Edouard Glissant the West Indian poet, novelist essayist, who against black slavery and colonialism fosters solidarity and respect for diversity. He died on 3 February this year, President Sarkozy of France attended his funeral as I respect all the work of this great man. Tuesday 22, Presentation of Quebec Canada, Annick Bergeron, French of Quebec in the movies they do when they have to subtitle France the French again. lol. In Canada, there are reserves of native tribes are consistent with their habits of hunting, fishing and floklore in a more tourism, the state remains very positive thing. On Wednesday 23 in the presentation of Zuisa by Cordy Thoeny, dynamic presentation. Cordy did fill out a questionnaire on Zuiza, (I was late not filled), which matched took prizes, hats and other gear flashlights Zuisos typical. Zuiza country as powerful, has 7 representatives to the executive head of a chancellor and 26 different education systems. My God, here in Bolivia with one no more and we cling to the pineapples. Effective thing profecional Zuisa dual training work and study at the same time, contrary to university study and weighed to get into balls, no work experience. No shortage of images of Street Parade, the largest techno festival in Zurich in the world, is held each year (die to go che). While the conference passed in Valbert auditorium, I saw some Zebras and portraits of people in Africa, looks deep and vivid colors, they were pictures of Gabriela Montesión of Afrika exposure.

As a final act of narrating, on Thursday, 24 went to Bachfest Baroque violin concert in Portales, Jorge Jimenez de Barcelona Spain. Well, even a needle could not, people sat up in the suelito. I thought that George would be a senior, but he is young HOWEVER the violin was very old, told us that he played violin with gut strings had sheep and it was 1870. Mentioning that with a violin playing steel strings would make the tour of France in a motocileta. Poor arm. Strenuous exercise playing the violin. Flawlessly Fugue in D minor, made more than one teary.

More activities that I missed these only a few to which I attended. But this still does not stop them advised on Thursday 31 in Portales, 6 suites for cello by Richard Harsthorne bass. On Wednesday, 30 rolls the movie, My name is Bach in the reading room of the foundation Patiño. Do not forgive me I missed the slaughterhouse project activities on Monday, 21 Equinog Aos, who apparently was a collective performance with lyrics and visual arts Temporary Anthology also I missed on Thursday 24 to spread the current Cochabamba intellectual literary work is very important. So those at Cocha, because you know there is much to do, go and attend.

Derek Van Arman: Killing for killing time

Original language: English
Original title: Just killing time
Date Published: 1993
Rating:

Nasty Too bad we do not have a tag that "prank" because that is what I think it is Matar to kill time.

a friend recommended it to me a teenager. It was the era in which Quentin Tarantino enjoyed its Golden Age thanks to movies of violence truffled viñetera, witty dialogue and stylish gangsters, and since I was a big fan of Pulp Fiction father , as I listened to my friend and me Today I swallowed the book review in a couple of weeks. And what opinion I deserved? Then I felt awful ...

Killing for killing time tells the story of a careful psychopath who kills his victims on the ground that title to the book, basically to kill time, and the police is to catch laaargooo the years because it shifts the killer, named Zak Dorani, has nothing more nor less than thirty years teaching matarile whom he pleases! And the good of the good cop named Jack Scott, suffer horrible frustration of having missed out because once he was caught by the hair, yes, but bloody and unjust that the Justice saw no such Dorani deserved to spend his life behind bars and finally let free.

At first there is a long reflection of good character who makes it clear that we can find a super psycho in every corner of our cities, which may be from the neighboring orchard fifth through the supermarket, but the book is neither entertaining or interesting, and sins of excess pages and be weighed in too often.

therefore labeled with the lowest category we have in Ouled this book I read a few years ago because, in my opinion, can not even entertain the reader, but we already know (just look cover) that we can not expect much ...

as did Robert Freeman on the picture of the cover of "With the Beatles ", he says that everyone should fit into the square format of the LP cover, so I put them all down online and Ringo, for being the last who joined the group ... was also the shortest. Paul McCartney says

on decision was made in a very dark hallway and the light source is a window ... all natural! Adds Paul Freeman took couple of rolls and that that was enough. They wanted

single out the photo of the Beatles, the name behind, but the studio vetoed it, arguing that even the Beatles were not so famous. They also wanted that this photo was not chosen because the members did not appear smiling (PSCHHHEEEEE!!). It was not until George Martin stepped the issue was resolved. Freeman gained 75 pounds sterling for this session, three times what is charged then. :-O AY, Luis Nova! You imagine??

Stefan Zweig: Mendel's books

Language: German
Original title:
Buchmendel
Date Published: 1929
rating: highly recommended

And back at last, after many months, has been one of our authors fetish since starting this blog: Stefan Zweig. One returns to its pages as he steps back the house of his grandparents, after many years, and finds that everything is in place and correct and smells old. Without doubt, his prose is clean, precise, fair dose of rhetoric to attract without tiring, but I think this is not what attracts me. Zweig is the best of their ability to show in a few strokes, the essence of his characters.

In this case, actually, the whole book (the book: just 50 pages) is reduced to that. I mean, the plot involves the disclosure of a person: Mendel, the books. Zweig presents it masterfully, taking it out of the shadows of oblivion, and sitting in front of our eyes on the coffee table Gluck, where the old man poured from morning to evening on the yellowed pages of his merchandise. It makes us witness the miracle introduced himself as a young man making a query bibliographical and they answer an incredible torrent of titles, authors, publishers, bookstores prices.

Mendel, the Jewish bookseller coffee Gluck, embodies the extreme contradiction between the highest and the smallest, which borders on religious experience. A myopic old and dirty, locked in the backroom of a cafe, embodying the most prodigious memory who knew the Europe of his time. A memory that, like Borges' Funes, disabled him for life and, for that matter, gave an aura of a saint, a monster, prodigy living. Zweig

captures the reader rapt description of this strange mind and with the bereaved narration of the circumstances she was lost forever. Paradoxically or not, Mendel the books is basically an essay on the forgotten.

Zweig downloads: Twenty-four hours in the life of a woman , chess fiction , The world of yesterday, Fouché. Portrait of a politician and Marie Antoinette.

How To Make Woolen Shawl

" Who are you? "

WHO ARE YOU? - Luis Eduardo Aute

does outer space unknown
of how long that was or has not yet been
what rain has fallen planets
proclaiming "I'm here because I've been" ...
That although it is not to ask permission
by stepping on the same floor vertigo,
not sign up for an unannounced heart
so suddenly and so accurate shooting ...

Who are you ...
Who are you,
Prodigy or voodoo ... Who are you

dream or taboo ...
who are you ...

When there is more than the time
it begins to repeat the argument,
appears suddenly, with the story that there is
stories ...
feelings and I only invade with words like kisses
flooding me with birds, brain
How hard try to get out unharmed
of this magic in which we are prisoners ...

I certainly do not want to become strong,
in any case I believe you get panicky ...
do not know if you are the harbinger of luck
or, conversely, death come to me but you're
cloudy water or slush,
how not to drink when I say, "baby" ...
that thirst fades and is shorter
while the years pass ... and no rain

Congratulation Note For Wedding

Juan Marse: The dark history of prima Montse

Original language: English
Year: 1970
Rating: is well

do not know if this can be categorized as another of my "heresies " because Juan Marse is generally considered by critics as one of the most relevant contemporary English novelists and influential (Cervantes Prize in 2008, what more can you say) and yet the two books I read yours, Latest Afternoons with and this, I have not convinced. Of course I recognize narrative and stylistic merit, but their stories are not just interested in me or convince.

This, The dark history of prima Montse , is a novel told in two time levels: the present, in which the narrator, Paco, is found again with his uncles and cousins (and rolled his cousin Nuria, by the way), and the past, which takes the "raw dark history of Montserrat." And the "dark story" is that such a premium, Monte Clark, the daughter of a bourgeois family profundamenta Catalan and religious, is involved (hard to tell to what extent) with an inmate and a proletarian atheist, causing the predictable scandal in his family well . And the narrator, who is a more badass than the rest, as a character is isolated between two worlds, connecting them.

As I said above, clearly recognize the benefits of the book as a narrative technique is superbly constructed, with the constant game between past and present, and the way a contrast Paco and Nuria are correcting their memories and reminded me of Faulkner and his Absalom, Absalom (one of my favorite novels). But I could not identify with any of the characters, nor the bourgeois stretched (overly caricatured in general), or the narrator, or the inmate, or the cousin Monty, whose portrait is probably the most superficial of all; and the story soon ceased to interest me, just see the "dark story" was not really so dark. In terms of style, I think a double-edged sword: it is brilliant at times, poetic, a work of art itself, but at the same time that aestheticism static hinders the development of history, and there are cases where you get to get lost among so much flourish.

In short: It's OK, but does not become part of my head writers. That is, if I had to do so may give a lecture on the technical expertise of Mars and its importance as a writer in the post-Franco Spain, but as a reader, not tell anyone: "You have to read to Mars, it's great."

Alain Fournier: Le Grand Meaulnes

Original title: Le Grand Meaulnes
Original language: French
Publication Date: 1913
rating: highly recommended

This is another of those books that I have come to the hands without really knowing how, one day appeared in one of the shelves house, an old edition, a colorless and unattractive dull yellow color, an author who once did not know at all. And lo, they still do not really know why, I decided to read it. And what a very good choice.

Sometimes when I do not know the author, I prefer not to read the back, or seek information about him or know anything about the book. It is usually an experience that I liked it, so I embarked on reading this book.

book I say they are about 230 small-format pages to be read very fast. The author introduces you to a small French town in the late nineteenth century, where the narrator, a teenage student at the school run by his parents, tells how the protagonist, Augustin Meaulnes, whom everyone called "Grand Meaulnes ".

With a serious style, straightforward and well written, and through Seurel Francois, know this Grand Meaulnes, leading a journey through adolescence and the transition to adulthood. There is a time when we appear in a wedding full of mysterious magic and unreality that remind us that Paradise Lost that we see in other authors. A place that ever existed and we can not return. There she will meet someone ...

When I closed the book, let me taste some melancholy. There sidouna enriching reading of which make you reflect, remember ... And I sought information about the author of a book that could tell you something and it did. And sorry, it is the only work by Fournier, since one year after publication died in the First World War., 28 years. Included within the best works of the twentieth century, and, personally, I pointed out in certain atmospheres and situations to Demian, Hesse, written 6 years later.

Antonio Hills: Sepulchre in Tarquinia

Original language: Castilian
Year: 1975
Rating: Essential

Today is World Poetry Day and we celebrate a comment of the most emblematic books of one of our finest poets, Antonio Colinas, just released its Complete Poetic Works (so far), 40 years after he won the City of Irun in its first edition.

is quite common, even in the works considered anthologies, a few poems highlight of the set, keeping the other a worthy but discreet presence. Not so in the production of hills, where everything that is collected has the same excellent quality. tomb in Tarquinia composed, like most of his works, in free verse, is divided into four parts which have a archaic scenery, the frequent use of memory, desolate landscapes, individuals drawn from the history and statism: the figures, human or not, straight out of a box, never replicated its partners so that their conversation is simple monologue. The stone, natural or architectural element, has a major presence symbolizes the past, explicit title to the first part and indirectly to the following two. The sharp musicality and aesthetics, as those of the author, not missing any of his verses, descriptive of the action predominate. In general, recreating all the classical references, the Golden Age to the generation of 27, making this and, above all, appropriating them to make them completely yours.

The first part, Bergamo stones, which uses, for the most part, the second person verbal, emotional transmits a cold. The poem which gives its name is composed of verses Alexandrian and classicism is even higher if possible: "If tomb contains a living maid; / if heart of stone, you sound like an oboe" . The symbolism is obtained based on colors (black, green and gold) and visual imagery, although sometimes referred to other senses: humidity, sound, temperature. In the poem Novalis, find echoes of S. Juan de la Cruz. Nature and feelings are identified (night / sadness - nostalgia / beauty). In Poseidonia, time winner - which compares the destruction of this city in Italy founded by the Greeks with the current loss of spiritual values - appear bucolic prints that are like bursts of the old pastoral poetry. Also here is reflected most widely read nature that lived, or the fusion of both, which lends a special plastic effect. The aesthetics of the European Renaissance is identified with the decadent elegance of early twentieth century in the poem Come, come to Europe . As in most of the compositions of Bergamo Piedras, goes to a party is changing and the absolute stillness, even the actions are static.: "... rain fell in Boulogne, / between two anarchists, Irish / singing, aircraft, dripping on Welwins Meadows Garden / a heaven of beer / (...) gets up at night with magnolias / about the brothels of Pompeii ". particular poem is pictorial in November in England , which closes the first part of the book.

Sepulchre in Tarquinia consists of a single poem - more than 500 verses, not just score and divided into sections - with an abundance of repetition and is still predominantly visual. This detailed description of a symbolic nature, is also addressed. It used enumerations chaotic, fusion of the old rural to urban modernity: "... after the hurricane of the stars, / fall, with golden trees / with burning towers and columns / walls covered with roses / late / and thou the same tram dotted / a waterside by boat "with a resource surreal " with a dream of horses ... / with a nest of tigers ... / with a herd of deer in the eyes ". The rhythm of each individual verse is as intense as in the rest of the production of hills, but the cadence of the poem is accelerated or delayed as missing or not tenses, change of pace at a gallop and vice versa. The whole poem is an act of nostalgia: The author went through images associated with full freedom, to a time and lived. They referred mainly to a past love without a future: "you know you remember now: / no one ever come to this place / here we bring the sea of dead fish / and there is more to life than that of the waves" .

The third part, entitled Petavonium Castra, although composed of eight poems in their own right, both in subject matter and resources could form a continuum similar to the previous. Except in the last poems, also used the second person, reasons such as horses and poetic devices are similar to the second but is now re-creates an environment for a ruthless warrior song of defeat.

In the last part, Two poems black light, night reappear, stones, silence and archaic architecture. Both paintings are nocturnal, with precise chiaroscuro so that we can perceive the outlines: "the glass is melted. / In the light falls or falls light frost (...) and are sprouting suns vacuum / crowns light from the shadows ". After a great accumulation of images, he concludes, each with a reflection transcendent "Sensed / light or the darkness of the grave" and "to scrutinize the life you have found it / and the grounds / in an Orb" .

Today, shortly after our second anniversary , we meet 750 days, and thus 750 entries. And as the round numbers seem occasion for taking stock, took the opportunity to look back and share with our readers some numbers, and some thoughts on the blog.

And the first thought is that we are still here, 750 days later, although we are not the same as when we started: we are more, many Moreover, both this and the other side of the screen (yes, we wrote Ouled live inside your computer. What do you think?). When we opened the blog, there were only three persons are now eleven (twelve if you count Ian Grecco, who is currently traveling, and no, says he fled because he pursues the police), in addition to several casual partners or "firms invited." The first month of 1200 we opened this blog readers, and we seemed to many, this month totaling around 20,000 page views, and we seem a lot ... In addition, we have 923 supporters in our facebook page and 241 on Twitter . Are you all crazy?

Pageviews Statistics (light green) and visitors (dark green) from the blog since its opening

regard to our preferences have not changed much since we did the previous count, when we turned one year, we read mostly books originally published in English (262 , compared to 173 in English ) prefer the novel (395 entries , test, 88 , 70 volumes of story , 48 of poetry, theater 27, and 18 comic, for example); continue to be generous with the books we review (we have 113 "essential " 279 "highly recommended " and only 40 " disgusting") and we are pulling more recent books classics (including the century XX and XXI century account for 640 reviews, no less).

And how is our average reader? For making a hodgepodge of unscientific statistics our motigo , the blogger and facebook itself, we find that our typical reader is a English woman between 25 and 34, who comes into our blog on all Monday and Tuesday around at 12 noon, but then leaves us on the weekend (sniff, sniff) using Windows and Internet Explorer, and get to blog via google (which I say that, if our typical reader, I could have learned the address) . The entry that most of you enjoyed reading this half is "books No gifts": he has seen 2735 times, it's okay, it was funny, but never tire? (Actually, all of us at this blog, men, women and asexual beings, we are madly in love with this typical reader, and everything we do, we do it to impress).

Anyway, how time flies. With how young we were when we started. And look at us now. Look at us.

What Is The Cost For Mirena

78/365 "Date with Angels"

Today I had the opportunity to a very special picture for my project 365. I got a picture of one of my favorite artists, one of the best songwriters in the world. But what makes it special is that it is an engagement photo by Silvio supporting the cause for this concert. It is the only concert this year Silvio, as I have understood (apart from the popular concerts in Cuba) and made as a contribution to the Foundation "Nest of Angels", created for children with cerebral palsy. Silvio previously and had donated 1000 copies of his concert in Santo Domingo in 2007 for the foundation.

The concert was excellent, sound impeccable, the Cibao great arena was packed and nobody wanted to stand up from his seat to anything, not missing any of the interpretations of Silvio.

Two significant moments were:

- When meeting with angels added the verse (which tells me Dr. José Miguel Pantoja, silviófilo like me, this verse is of authorship of José Antonio Rodríguez):

"April
hope was born thirty-odd years of Trujillo
mouths opened
silent voices of Santo Domingo.
fell asleep in the mountains
an angel out of the flock.
They woke eyelashes to Caamaño
that closed. "

- When he explained about the concerts offered in neighborhoods Cuba people, and to refer to children said

"Education is the most important thing for children, so we agree with the 4%." Silvio

the trio was presented with Trovarroco (guitars), Niurka González (flute and clarinet) and Oliver Valdez (percussion). All excellent musicians with timely interventions. The master of ceremonies was Freddy Ginebra, great as always! The artist hosted by José Antonio Rodríguez and his performance was really good! Imagine, with so many good songs that have José Antonio ... simply excellent. In his own words ... all who might need the orchestra was supplied Carlos Luis, great Cuban singer and guitar virtuoso.

Finally I can not thank my good friend Erika Ok, so she had not been able to get this picture. Thanks for the accreditation and identification with the project mate!

750 days after Al Berto: Fear

Original language: Portuguese
Original title: O medo
Year: 1987 -
Rating: Highly Recommended

Al Berto is the pseudonym (just fortunate for my taste: think of the name of a rapper or a Big Brother contestant) of a great Portuguese poet of the second half of the twentieth century, real name Pidwell Alberto Raposo Tavares. addition of a major poetic work, Al Berto is also the author of several books of prose, a theater, a libretto opera, a book of photography and a "false autobiography."

But without doubt, the fundamental book that summarizes their efforts and insights of poetry, is Fear, practically a Works or poetic Summa originally compiled in 1987, but expanded over the years, even after poet's death. That is, something like the Antolojías (sic) by Juan Ramon, or Leaves of Grass Walt Whitman (and also recalls times in those chapters that have a diary, the Book of Disquiet Pessoa, but not by heteronym of medium): it is ultimately an open work constantly under construction, in constant evolution that summarizes the essentials of his poetic career for over twenty years.

So Fear is not a book to read followed from beginning to end (probably a book of poetry is), but to be on the bedside table or library, and approach him from time to time, waiting to be caught by surprise and leaving style, relatively simple and understandable, but certainly poetic, the author.

Thus, one may encounter with things such as the "Office of love" (I put it in Portuguese original, creo bien quite understand it):

ja not need you
have the company of animals and night fever
got sick of grain cities built on the principle of other galaxies, and remorse

one day I sensed a stellar music rocks, abandoned myself to silence
this love is very slow progress with the heartbeat
not, do not need me anymore
I have boundless spaces of the disease
and the secret wells of nomads

ascend to full knowledge of my desert
stopped being available, forgive me if
cultivation regularly miss my own body

The
this "Scrap"

The uve me
you that the day is clear and
each corner light you can collect
enough food to your death

goes where nobody can talk
or recognized by this field will
of extinct craters - going through that door
water as large as the night

leaves of the tree cover you Cassiopea
wild oats and that acid rusted
rise up in the giddiness of the flight - leaves
that autumn brings the birds and the bees
to spend the night in the sweetness
brief of your heart - hear me

the day you are clean
and beyond the skin builds arch salt
the eternal abode - that sea which shall flee
the ethereal visitor tonight

not forget the ship loaded with fires
desires into dust - do not forget the gold
ivory - the sixty pills lethal
for breakfast
